THE MIND BOGGLES!!

This Week's Reflection

It's one of the first things that people notice when they embark on a journey of awareness and self-discovery: the absolute madness all around us.

Over the years, many of them at this stage, it has often been suggested to me that the sobriquet Normal Crazy People is bordering on the offensive, certainly derogatory and a slight on people who are only doing their best!

Well now, therein lies a normal crazy fallacy: only doing their best. You're not doing your best if you're operating from your thinking mind. In fact, "I was doing my best" is a lame excuse often used by those who are expecting failure. And, of course, when we are operating from our thinking minds, although we are (blissfully!) unaware of it (because we're unaware, full stop!), we are always expecting failure.

And we always get what we expect - it's how the human mind works, reagrdless of whether you're on the self-awareness journey or dead from the neck up (oooh, now, that could be derogator, couldn't it!).

The facts are plain. One who operates from thought is allowing their automatic mind dictate their reactive behaviour to what the self-same thinking mind thinks is happening. The definition of madness. And, sadly, the definition of normal too.

Should we "feel sorry" for such people? A perspective of which I have been accused (by those who didn't hear the whole message!). No - we need to be their for them. Our presence - that's what being there actually means in everyday practice - will impact them, change the dynamic for them. How much they are open to being impacted, how amenable they are to the shifting dynamic ony they can choose.

And, all too often, because they're on auto-pilot, they won't choose right!

But you and I, always, must choose presence. And you and I must remember, despite what impact our presence has on others, that we are the most important people in our life. Only when we remember this does our presence have an opportunity to impact others.

This Week's Quick Tip

A simple quick tip today - because, I know from feedback, that lots of people watch the video - it's always really short and that helps - and some read the quick tip. Many don't read the reflection.

So... you're quick tip this morning is: Read the Reflection - it's worth a couple of minuts of your time and, you know, the world needs you to turn up.
