I'll start this week by quoting a new Online Program Owner who tells me that he's going to "give it my best shot". Isn't that what we have to do? You have to realise that this is your life - right here, right now - it's hard to believe that you wouldn't give it your best shot.
And, yet, today, you'll find yourself sidetracked... by yourself! You'll find yourself thinking dibilitating thoughts, you'll discover yourself standing blocking your own way forward. You know you will.
And, if you know you will, you must be prepared. If you don't start the day by giving it your best shot, you're simply not going to be able to fully recover yourself during the day. It's that simple.
And there's no point in taking the normal crazy cop-out that "it was just one of those days" or "the day just got away from me" - as if your day was some kind of outside event!
Your day, today, is what you make it. It has nothing to do with anybody else or anyone else's attempted interference. It is ALL down to you. Man up - or woman up for that matter - take responsibility: not for stuff over which you have no control but for the one thing over which you have absolute control... what's going on in your own head.
Now is what you make it - today is made up of a string of nows, the next one of which is influenced by how you turn up and behave yourself in this one... it's like a chain reaction except, when you do take responsbility for your own state of mind, you never react - you'll start taking the kind of action that will transform your life - today.
We need to keep ourselves on our toes during the course of the day: nobody can run a marathon without a water break; tennis players rest every two games; football matches have a halftime!
What are you going to do today to give yourself that break? You could start by taking a leaf out of one of my Online Program Owners who told me last week that she had started taking a proper lunch break! How French! How old fashioned, how necessary.
Look after yourself today.
