This Week's Reflection

 

There's a singular theme running through this week's video and podcast. In fact, that theme runs through every single one of my weekly videos all the way back to December 2018. It is this: whether you continue to mindlessly allow your brain's normal crazy Auto Pilot run the show or you choose to take control of your state of mind, either way, you create your life.

 

In other words, you are responsible or, normally, irresponsible for what you experience and how you behave or misbehave - you'll note that, in this week's podcast, we steer away from fault and blame and settle on the importance of responsibility.

 

You either shoulder this responsibility or cede control to the auto-generated mayhem and chaos created by our normal way of thinking. You take this responsibility, first and foremost, for yourself. But taking that responsibility encompasses those around you, those you love, those whose lives you touch.

 

Of course, it's not a heavy burden. Shouldering it casts it in unduly heavy terms. The burden is light. In fact the burden is liberating, no burden at all.

 

And the really interesting thing is that, when we take on that responsibility, we effortlessly flow. It is in taking control that we just let go.

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Last week, I asked you to reflect on various aspects of your experience of your everyday life.

 

Having done that (I hope!), this week I would like to suggest that you reflect on how you can take better responsibility for you behaviour and actions, bearing in mind that, sometimes, taking no action is the best course of action!

 

Reflect on how you might look after yourself, mind and body, in an everyday way.

 

And, indeed, ask yourself as to whether or not you are meditating sufficiently or properly.

 

Every little counts.
