THE MIND BOGGLES!! |
Change Your Life | September 21 2023 No. 827 |
In all my nearly 28 years working with people, I am nothing short of intrigued that most don't give prominence to the ingredients that make for a wonderful life. This is best illustrated by the foreboding that overtakes so many people when "confronted" with the opportunity to set their minds to the kind of life their heart desires.
Like most things that the thinking mind does, with this "conundrum" it complicates the simple. So, let's take things down to so-called "Brass Tacks".
How would you feel if you had peace of mind? How would you feel if you hadn't a care in the world?
Both of the aforementioned states of mind are just that... states of mind. And, as such, they are a choice that you make. That's why we're always talking about getting to the point where you are in control of your state of mind for most or all of the time every day!
How would you feel if you were ill, seriously ill? How would you feel when it dawned on you that, in all probability, your physical state is self-inflicted?
You might wonder why such stark questions have found their way into this week's Reflection! They're there because, simply put, if you look after your state of mind your mind will look after your health - even if you've already done considerably damage to yourself.
So, the fundamentals: a clear mind, peace of mind and the health that will enable you fully enjoy all the good things in life that effortlessly flow from having chosen to not have a care in the world.
Way over the top? Let me come back to you on that!
As you'll see below, the episode to which I have chosen to draw your attention this week has a question for a title or does it...
Whether or not you're worried, distracted, anxious, frustrated is down to how you choose to experience the here and now.
If you find that you are any-of-the-above, well then, haven't you fine-tuned your awareness!
And that isn't the firsts step on the road to self-awareness. It is self-awareness.
So, today, regularly check in on yourself and simply notice how you're feeling. That's good enough.
