This Week's Reflection

 

Human nature being what it is (flawed and skewed by normal ruminative thought), we can be tempted to make something out of nothing. Or, to be more explicit, we can allow ourselves think that some thing or event is a meaningful synchronicity when, well, it's just something random that we've encountered. Two such potentially random events are mentioned in this week's video above.

 

We know that we're making something out of nothing when it takes a little inventive thinking on our part, when there's effort involved, when we try to squeeze a round peg into a square hole. The point is... it takes cognitive effort and we can feel the effort required.

 

I've often been asked "How will I know a synchronicity when I see one?" - and, like many questions that I'm asked, the answer is in the question... when you see one you'll know, you'll just know. It's a feeling, an experience, not a cognitive chore. And, the more you tune in to yourself and your life, the easier it becomes to know, to just know.

 

There's another way of know as well, though. Synchronicities don't come in ones... they're not solo-travellers!

 

When you experience regular Flow - doesn't need to be constant or everyday, regular is the key word here, your days are peppered with little happenings that, on their own, may not amount to much. But the flow of them, the sum of their parts, is a clear indicator that you've tuned in, you're turned on, your antennae are up and that you're in receiving mode. And the sum of their part - always more than the little individual happenings - is clear signposting from the ether of the action you need to take and the direction in which you need to move.

Things happen for you and, often, it feels like they "just happen". That will never happen for you until you, to quote the old song, "leave your worries on the doorstep"! I'm suggesting this podcast episode because it explains how all this can happen for you and... what it looks and feels like.

 

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Buy yourself a journal - doesn't need to be anything fancy and, preferably, it needs to be small enough to be portable, to fit in your handbag, if you will!

 

And start noting - handwriting - little things that, on their own, might not appear to be significant but, as you review your notes, you may find that those little things, together, amount to quite a lot.

 

If nothing else, this practice will enhance your awareness and, at the end of the day, that is what this journey is all about.
