This Week's Reflection

 

You need to get used to deliberately choosing for yourself - little stuff first, baby steps lead to giant leaps.

 

You are where you are right now in your life as a result of every single choice that you've made up to right here and now. Most of those choices were not and still are not deliberate. Most of those choices are automatic.

 

The automatic choices - made, oddly enough by your so-called Auto-Pilot! - are always the wrong choices because they are based on corrupted data... garbled information from your childhood. And those choices will never - never ever - move you forward for the same rather obvious reason.

 

You need to start making considered and deliberate choices moment-to-moment to get into the habit of not just choosing but, at each and every moment in time, being aware that you have a choice, that you must exercise choice.

 

Like any habit, the habit of choosing will grow on you. Unlike normal crazy habits, this new one won't reinforce the automaticity of your normal way of operating, it will restructure parts of the brain that your normal way of thinking never touch, could never touch.

 

And, as a result of something so apparently insignificant as choosing to pay attention to how set the table for this evening's meal, your life will change. I promise you that.

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Choose to sit still for a minute or two. Then, later on during the day today, choose to do a few ordinary everyday things slowly and deliberately (this week's Podcast explores the importance of "deliberate").

 

Get into the habit - the good habit - of deliberately making little choices.
