This Week's Reflection

 

We all have dreams. And that is all they will ever be until we do something about them.

 

Now, you might be forgiven for thinking that I'm about to propose an action plan... but there's only madness in that method - no plan was ever enacted as planned!

 

The doing that I'm talking about is taking the ever-so-small step that translates a dream into reality. Yes, that's right - an ever-so-small step.

 

As you will have gathered from today's video, the faux-actions of wishing, hoping, wanting (I'll come back to that next week) and dreaming will get you nowhere. Worse - they will actively discourage you as you witness your unfulfilled dreams morph into nightmares. Such lack of change in one's life is an active discouragement to take any action at all.

 

So, what action am I talking about?

 

Well, you will know, from previous videos, podcasts and I know not what that we establish beliefs - what cognitive psychology would term subconscious expectations by taking a psychological snapshot of the experience of having achieved our "dream". This, as you know, is done handwriting what you want as if you already have it. I use the word "want" losely indeed - because care is required that you don't write about what you only think you want. But that's another day's work!

 

For now, the ever-so-small action that I'm talking about it just that... write it down!

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Over the coming weeks or, perhaps, this coming weekend, give yourself a few hours elbow room to let your mind settle.

 

I'm talking about doing nothing - sitting, watchting the world go by, allowing (my favourite word right now!) what is within "occur to you".

 

This is a piece of advice I give to everyone with whom I work. And it is, in my opinion, a necessary precursor to transforming your dreams into the subconscious expectations to which I refer in this week's Reflection.
