THE MIND BOGGLES!!

Change Your Life | March 30 2023 No. 802

Normal crazy people fumble and stumble around in the dark. But that is not what this video is about. TAKE NOTE: a small video with a BIG message.

This Week's Reflection

You will find what you are looking for when you're not looking. Just like the solution to an apparently intractable problem will present itself when you're not thinking about it.

Just like so-called "Aha Moments" just "occur to us"... if we were looking for or expecting them, they wouldn't be "Aha Moments", would they?!

The key word in this week's message is allow - it is the essence of just letting go. The interesting thing, though, is that we have to train ourselves to let go, train ourselves to allow ourselves experience the wonders, joys and synchronicities of life. We have to train ourselves to get out of our own way.

That training - regular meditation - now has a good 35yrs of an impressive track record under its belt: from the nascent Mindfulness-Based Stress Redution Therapy of the late 1980s, to the groundbreaking research in the field of neuroscience that continues to establish new mind-bending facts about... well, about how meditation is literally mind-bending.

Of course, meditation has a much longer established track record but, all too often, for those who thought (or were taught) that meditation was a relaxant. Yes it is. But that's just for openers. Once we open the door, we realise, through physical experience, the difference made by tuning in and synchronising our own vital energy.

The key to all thism, though, as this week's video confirms, is that we even have to let the training of letting go, let go - so that we stumble into the reality of the world in which we are already living.

This Week's Quick Tip

No prizes for guessing what this week's Quick Tip is!

Meditate regularly - every morning or as close to every morning as you can.

My latest understanding of meditation's life-changing effectiveness confirm that it is regularity that counts - not the duration of one's medtitative sessions.

So, 7 or 8 minutes each morning will do the trick. Build it into your morning routine so that it gets done before your day gets going.
