THE MIND BOGGLES!! |
Change Your Life | March 2 2023 No. 798 |
Moment-to-moment life is fraught with little booby-traps - and we have to keep on our toes. Today's video provides a simple solution to what is, in effect, nothing more than a simple moment-to-moment challenge.
I mention random mements in today's Quick Tip. And, as you know, there's no such thing as a random anything! Every moment is significant - every moment is a moment of your life, a component building block of you experiencing your being, your doing, your very essence.
Or it should be! That's why today's Quick Tip is vital. That is why, as we have discussed in the past, so-called Mini-Meditations are so important. Either approach, or both, enables us experience the very essence of life... by choice.
This choice is oh so very important because, by making such apparently random choices, we become attuned to the need to make and take deliberate choices, moment-to-moment. If or when we don't, we facilitate the Auto Pilot. And you and I know that that is a very slippery slope indeed.
As I've said before - and I'm about to say it again! - we simply will never get to make the big life-changing choices that we would all love to have the opportunity to make and take if we don't get the little choices right.
These little choices are momentary. They need to be made in apparently unimportant, insignificant, random moments. But these are the moments of your life. Miss the opportunity to make these choices and you're missing life itself.
Pause at random moments during the day today to self-check, check-in to see how you're feeling.
That self-check is enough to enable you be aware of how you are, where you are and how you're doing in that moment.
It's not the first step on the journey to self-awareness - it is self-awareness.
And that is all is takes to keep yourself on your toes.
