It's something that, deep down, everyone wants; something that most believe to be beyond their grasp but it's right here waiting for you... this week's video explores.

 

 

 

 

This Week's Reflection

 

I'll start by quoting or, perhaps, paraphrasing Anthony deMello (from his book Awareness. If you can't find happiness within, where do you expect to find it? Same goes for peace of mind. If you stop to reflect on this for a moment, you'll realise that peace of mind is simply (yes, simply) as state of mind.

But - and it's a truism - the best things in life are simple and, more than that, peace of mind is free!

If peace of mind is that simple and to be found within, is it not just a form of self-delusion? Short answer, you're already deluded by your own thoughts that are preventing you experiencing state of mind.

But that's only half an answer because the real transformation that comes with peace of mind is the understanding and ability to clearly, precisely and effortlessly take the real action that you need to take to transform you, your life and the shared experiences that you have with anyone and everyone around you.

And that's why, deep down, everyone wants peace of mind. With the accompanying clarity, you understand exactly what is best for you and you instinctively know how to let what's best for you... just happen.

Yes, "just happen" is a phrase I've heard from clients so many times over the years. The effortlessness that comes when we sideline our thoughts, when we just instinctively do and say the right things as a result of that mental clarity, gives us the experience and feeling of things just happening for us.

How diferent from the normal "life". A pearl of great price just sitting waiting to be discovered... within.

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Sit still and close your eyes. Breathe. A few nice long slow breaths will do the trick.

With each breath let your mind go a little blanker. You'll notice the noise of your own thoughts but just let them pass... you could "blow them away" with an exhalation.

Let your mind empty. And, even if you only experience emptiness for a moment, it's an experience on which you can and will build.

Normal @%!*#y People!

 

Is it entirely possible that normal crazy people simply cannot help themselves when it comes to lying completely and utterly needlessly?

Lisa goes into the boulangerie - as it turns out, a boulangerie with no bread... lots of cakes and croissants but no bread.

After a 90mins workout in the gym, she drops back into the shop. No bread but two mechanics buried in the oven trying to fix it. Lisa asks "Is there no bread?" The shop assistant replies "No, we've run out of flour"!

A completely and immediately obvious needless lie. An insight into the normal mind and not a little scary.
