We're talking about the hows and whats of your journey to your "best life" in this week's Video and Podcast - the video explores the primary importance of awareness, the podcast explores a couple of my own personal stories in relation to what happens - and how it happens - when you're aware.
People confuse mindfulness and awareness. Mindfulness is the state of mind in which we experience reality. There's much more to awareness - it involves our intuition and instinct in a deliberate way that, with a little daily practice, leads to flow and action. That's a world away from being unaware, stuck and reactive.
Awareness develops our readiness: ready for whatever happens, good, bad and ugly! Today's video explores that in double-quick fashion. Readiness means that we don't just know what's going on in the moment but that we are fully tuned in to what is also going on within. This is vital from a whole range of perspectives - again have a quick look at the video - but, perhaps most importantly, from the perspective of being able to recognise a synchronicity and, then, being in a position to take the action that the moment demands.
After all, it's not through mindfulness that we move forward, it is through action.
You and I need to ensure that we are so tuned in that we are invariably the right person, in the right place, at the right time. Our live depends upon it.
This week's video is about awareness - this week's podcast explores what happens when you are fully aware.
So, it kind of follows that this week's Quick Tip should be that, if you haven't already got one, get yourself a copy of Awareness, Anthony deMello's little book - it might be little but boy does it pack a punch or two.
And, if you already do have a copy, read it again, you now know more than when you first of most recently read it, so you'll pick up more.
