This Week's Reflection

 

I suppose that, from time to time, the weekly Reflection should actually be about... reflecting!

 

This weeks Video explores how best to handle Normal Crazy People. This week's podcast, among other things, explores that subject in more depth. But, perhaps, you're a Normal Crazy Person - we all have been and we all my well still slip from time to time, being only human.

 

Now, before we go any further, I've been accused of being judgemental in my coining the term "Normal Crazy People". I'm only describing, as succinctly as possible, the scientific facts - you know them well, if you're a regular here - so I won't elaborate. If you think I'm being judgemental, try the cap and see if it fits!!

 

That said, we all might reflect on two things this morning:

 

To what extent do I behave like a normal crazy person? And am I aware of it whilst it's happening?

 

When I compare my behaviour and state of mind nowadays with how I was before I embarked on this adventure of being in the moment, how have I changed? What has changed?

 

The first question above is a call to awareness. And, even if, in reflecting on this question, you only become aware of some little insanity after the event, you are still building your awareness mental muscles!

 

The second question is a call to appreciation - to appreciate how far you have travelled, to give yourself due credit. Often, because our progress is little-by-little and cumulative, we don't realise how much we have changed until we stop to reflect upon it.

 

And, after all that, if you have some kind of realisaton that you are a normal crazy person... you're not, you only think that you are!

 

 

 

This Week's Quick Tip

 

Decide now that, throughout today, you're going to deliberately "shadow" yourself, like a constant observer, to be aware of how you are behaving and how you are handling those around you.

 

* If you are one of those of us who are in flow most of the time every day, ignore the above and just get on with the wonder of the here and now.
