THE MIND BOGGLES!! |
Change Your Life | July 17th 2025 No. 921 |
Forgive the title of this week's video, for life is not a game, it is a very serious business indeed.
And, yet, the video is so titled to make a serious point: we train for the game of life in the mental gym, when we meditate each morning in the privacy and safety of our own space - or, better again, with a group of like-minded people! - so that we can play the game of life to the very best of our ability throughout the rough and tumble of our everyday life.
Hence the title and, indeed, subject matter of this week's podcast where we explore practical ways in which we can make the best of our everyday life.
But we don't even have to do that, we don't have to "make the best" of anything - by simply turning up to the flow of the wonderful here and now we experience the best of moments, one moment at a time, better than anything that we might "make" could ever be.
In fact, our own flow creates the moment-to-moment joy of living life to the full. Our flow doesn't just create the experience, it creates the synchronicities that move the wonderful adventure of everyday life ever further onwards and upwards.
So, all you have to concern yourself with (and I don't even like the concern word!) is being present and allowing all good things flow. Of course, that means that you will take real action, effortlessly and, in doing so, experience what's best for you "falling into your lap".
Thay's probably worth getting out of bed for each morning, isn't it!
This week's video explores how to best play what I've described as "the game of life".
So, this week's Quick Tip is a reading recommendation:
"The Game of Life and How to Play It" by Florence Schovel Shinn
It was written at the turn of the last century, over 100 years ago, so the language or the perspective from which it is written may not be to everyone's taste.
But it is as relevant today as it was when, if we travelled at all, we travelled by steam train!
