Resistance is futile! But not in the way in which we normally interpret this statement nor, indeed, the way in which it is normally used.
We're talking about a resistance that is in-built - a resistance to change, a resistance to trusting ourselves, a resistance to "trusting the process", to quote more than a couple of Online Program Owners.
Our thoughts create a resistance that impedes flow to the point that... we don't flow at all. Someone who is - and who by default is unaware of the fact - thinking automatically will not even realise that they could experience a flow that doesn't just lead to calm and peace of mind (which are no bad things!) but leads to a life where all good things, all that's best, simply flow.
So resistance is much worse that futile it is destructive. We are self-destructing when we are resisting. And, as we explore in this week's video, to think is to resist.
As we've said repeatedly over the last couple of months, we're at our best when we're not thinking. And, even to say that we are at our best in that state of mind, is to understate the freedom and results that flow from non-resistance, from not thinking.
Over the years, right up to the here and now, so many people have said to me that, when they have "left the world of thought behind", they feel liberated - that's because they are liberated.
Liberate yourself. You're the only one who can. Practice presence of mind. See, feel, hear, smell and taste non-judementally. Stop thinking. And let the resultant flow allow all good things "fall into your lap".
This week's video talks of making a commitment to yourself for the year ahead. But let's keep things simple and practical.
Commit to not thinking today.
Now, you and I know that "not thinking" is not going to happen today, for the day. But the commitment is what's important here - it starts a chain reaction that's different to the normal chain of thought that leads us nowhere (or worse!).
So, let's make is simpler again. For the next few minutes, just let yourself be and, when you catch yourself thinking (as you will), let yourself be again.
To succeeed we need to "just let go" and, for now, that means letting go of the thoughts that cause friction between ourselves and the reality of the world in flow.
