I've been on about this before but, seriously, it's just a major blockage brought about by our normal survival thought processes... with a 21st century twist. You need to watch the video to find out what I'm talking about!
... that every single video, article and tip, all the way back to December 2008, is available in The Archive
We're not too far off year end - and, for many people, a bit of a break or a rest. Time to start reflecting on what you'd do if money were no object... seriously!
Let your mind roam free - when you (inevitably) think limiting thoughts, just stick to the question at hand!
This is the second video in a four-video series leading into the New Year. You can find last week's video here...
I'm full of useful ideas these days! Apart from what's in the videos (last week's, this week's and for the next few weeks) and the tips, we talked last week about keeping your mind in the zone thoughout the day. But to what end?
Do you know why you got out of bed this morning? By that I don't mean because "it is time to get up" or "I had to go to work"! I mean, what do you actually intend to achieve today? What's today's purpose? Notice I haven't asked what your purpose is - your purpose in life... that's a question too far for most of us. I'm keeping it simple, what's your purpose today?
Doesn't have to be earth-shattering or life-chaning - although everything should be moving us along in the direction of the kind of life we'd really like - but it does have to be something within that broader context. Otherwise, you might set yourself a priority for today that's meaningless in the greater scheme of things.
But, as I said, let's keep it simple. What do you want to achieve today? Just one thing (for now) will do. How will you feel when you achieve it? How will you feel this evening at the day's end? Write it down. Write it down now. You can tick it off later.
What is wrong with people in a rush?
Yes, that's how I started last week's Normal Crazy People story too. But, open your eyes (that's what all these videos and tips are actually about!) and you'll see the madness all around you.
Why do people form a big long queue at an Express Supermarket Checkout when there are no customers at the others?
Why do motorists sit in a long line to go through the Express toll booth on the motorway when all the others are empty?
And why do people run for the train only to realize, as they got there, that they were in such a rush they don't know whether they locked their car... and end up missing the train?
Just wondering!
