THE MIND BOGGLES!! |
Change Your Life | May 28th 2026 No. 966 |
This week's reflection is about reflection: what you see in the mirror when you gaze at yourself and, secondly, the need to provide ourselves with the time to reflect on who we might really be, who you really are.
Both perspectives on reflection are pretty much two sides of the same coin. When you look at yourself in the mirror, you're seeing, for starters, flesh and blood, perhaps warts and all! But, normally, you're also judging what you're looking at. And, when we wander into the dark world of judgement, that journey takes us to places that, in reality, don't exist.
Beauty is only skin deep, so the saying goes. And so is our perspective on ourselves until we look within or, perhaps, more to the point, allow what is within come to the fore.
We allow this flow by disconnecting our judgemental mind, our thinking mind. Anyone can achieve this state by meditating and I mean anyone - if you can breathe you can meditate and, when you meditate, you are, even if only for a fleeting moment or two, free of self-judgement and... wandering into a world so different from that dark world of judgement that you may just discover something that will astound.
I didn't say that it might just astound you - anyone and everyone, yourself included, stands to be astounded when the real you comes to the fore.
In that regard, a half an hour listening to this week's podcast would be a half an hour well spent.
My quick tip this week is simple: listen to this week's podcast.
And, when you've done that, allow yourself the time and space to reflect on what it might mean for you - the real you.
