THE MIND BOGGLES!! |
Change Your Life | January 29th 2026 No. 949 |
This week's Reflection is about... reflecting.
In our everyday lives, we are all too often swept along, not alas by Flow but by the whirlwind of... everyday life. And, with that whirlwind, comes all kinds of issues.
The first issue is, of course, that we can get lost in the madness, overwhelmed by the incessant noise, hoodwinked into running with the idea that it's good to by busy.
The more important issue is that, whilst we might have started our day with the intention of flowing - and staying in flow - we end up not even realising that we're not in flow.
This is where reflection comes into play. That is why this week's video focuses on the need for reflection.
Reflection provides us with multiple opportunities.
Stopping to reflect enables us... stop! And hopping off the daily busy-bus is an exercise in awareness itself. More than that, reflecting on how it feels to have stopped provides us with a deeper insight into the moment, leading to a deeper self-awareness.
More importantly, stopping to reflect enables us appreciate the extent to which we have moved forward on our journey of self-awareness. Appreciation of our own progress often requires reflection for the simple reason that, in everyday life, our progress - incremental, baby-step-at-a-time - can often go unnoticed... by ourselves.
So, today, stop, reflect, appreciate and grow in awareness of wonderful it is to be you, in flow.
When did you last let someone walk all over you? When did you last hold your tongue because you were afraid of what the people around you might think?
When did you actually lie to justify not doing something that you did not want to do?
When did you last go along with something or somebody simply because you were not brave enough to say that NO?
When are you going to realise that you are the most important person in your life and act accordingly?
The answer to the final question is... TODAY!
